Willy Poch was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His childhood was marked as a soloist with choirs, leading to star in musicals and operettas at the most important venues in Buenos Aires: “Teatro Colón”, “Cervantes”, “Municipal General San Martin”, “Presidente Alvear”.
Later, his passion for music led him to learn guitar, bass with Fran Ojstersek (Spinetta Jade) and in Walter Malosetti School, and piano with Juan del Barrio (Spinetta Jade, Abuelos de la Nada), integrating numerous rock bands, popular music and fusion. Also participates, as a session musician in prestigious artists´projects.
Later, Italy was his destination, where continuing its advertising creative work, he continues the composition and performance as a sessionist, where he met and worked with Marco Zanelli, a prominent European musician and arranger, manager of the record production of relevant figures, such as Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti and Zucchero Fornacciari.
He works in the theatrical world with Giorgio Strehler, Milan’s “Teatro del Piccolo” founder, great diffuser of Brecht’s work in Italy.
Back again in his country, he composes the songs of the “Ilusiones” album being part of the band “Insitu”.
Later on, he also participates of the musical project “Son del Sur”, sharing stage with the great musicians like Leon Gieco, Teresa Parodi and Julia Zenko.
