After being away rocking the free world Mr Shiraz return with a slim downed line-up and massive new sound that has been tearing down walls around the UK and Europe with the video for 'Built In Sin' already made video of the week by Pure Rawk and putting the band in for a live session by BBC Introducing Leeds the album is set to propel Mr Shiraz to a new level
Mr.Shiraz has been hard at work since 2005, having been crowned champions at the prestigious Mean Fiddler/Futuresound tournament and went on to play at the illustrious Carling Festival weekend to a packed, enthusiastic audience. The success of the show was evident when they were once again asked back to play the following year.
Shortly after Mr.Shiraz were in heavy demand again with European tours including festivals across Belgium, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and many more. Soon after the album was launched, the band received airplay across Europe (including Radio 1’s “Punk Show” & Xfm) and magazines such as Metal Hammer, Big Cheese & Kerrang! were soon giving Mr.Shiraz glowing reviews for their adrenaline fueled live shows. Which also led the band on an extensive 6 week tour of the USA.
2011 saw a very different sounding Mr.Shiraz. The band ditched their ska/punk image and recorded a very different and personal self titled album a very much more mature and driven sound that has had reviewers of their live shows comparing the new “Mr.Shiraz” to that of The Bronx, Faith No More & Rage Against the Machine.
